Dear Therapists: What homeschooling families want caring professionals to know about them

An informal survey of homeschooling families and their struggles with caring professionals. Hear what they want you to know about them, common myths and misconceptions about homeschooling, and how you can best serve your clients who also homeschool.

Participants will identify some common homeschooling myths and misconceptions, and identify strategies to untangle the subject of homeschooling from the more universal relational and human struggles.

Location:  PTI's Offices 

Times: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

CEUs: 1.5

Cost: $25-$15 suggested donation at the door.

Padmini Nagaraj, LMFT

Padmini Nagaraj, LMFT is the training director at the Process Therapy Institute where she teaches classes, organizes events and facilitates the licensed clinician consultation groups. Padmini has a private practice in the East Bay and San Jose, and enjoys working with healers, teachers, carers and leaders using experiential, mindfulness, attachment and trauma informed practices.

The Process Therapy Institute (CEPA Provider #050112) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s and/or LEP’s. PTI maintains responsibility for this conference and its content. All of the sessions meet the qualifications for the above given hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Course completion certificates will be awarded at the end of the course in exchange for a completed evaluation form.
