Weaving Process Work Through the Values Card Sort

Learning Objectives: 1. Practice the “doing” skill of inviting the client to introspect and illuminate the process while doing a mini Values Card Sort activity
2. Identify how Weaving the Process Model into the Values Card Sort activity could deepen work with your clients (couples, families, and/or individuals)

The workshop will focus on incorporating the Process Model into the Values Card Sort, a relational activity that allows a client to share with the therapist more about who they are, by sorting values under the categories: very important, somewhat important, and not important. The workshop will include an introduction, a presentation on the Values Card Sort and Process Model, a demonstration and experiential with workshop attendees, and a debrief.
